Cox's Bazar is located in the southern part of Bangladesh and it's considered the longest natural sea beach in the world.From Chittagong,one of the biggest Metro city in Bangladesh,the distance of Cox's Bazar is 152 km. south. Cox's Bazar is well connected both by air and road from Dhaka and Chittagong.Bus journey from Dhaka to Chittagong would takes around 6 hours.If you are visiting Bangladesh for the first time, it's an good idea to travel by bus from Dhaka to Chittagong or directly to Cox's Bazar,on the way you can see many interesting places.From Dhaka, buses for Cox's are available readily since morning to night both from Dhaka.
You have to give advance booking for your hotel rooms in Cox's Bazar- total three five star hotels in Cox's Bazar. But if you want cheap hotels like 10-20 US dollars per day, staying three stars or lower rate hotels would be a good choice. Remember in three stars or less ranking hotels you will have the opportunity to bargain with the hotel managers.Mostly all of the Bangladeshi are very friendly and warm in welcoming foreigners. From hotels, you can book a car for personal use while your visit in Cox's Bazar. The typical AC car will cost you approximately 18-20 dollars for a day. Don't forget to take the pleasure of bargain,I bet you can lower the price when you bargain.
Apart from enjoying the beauty of sea-beach, there are lots of beautiful places to visit like Rangamati, Bandarban, Teknaf, Saint Martin Island-all these four are must to visit and within the reach of two-hour journey only.
